Hatch is an American company in California that began with baby sleep devices and now sells a bedside unit for adults. Restore combines a lamp, a speaker and an alarm clock in one object that sits on a nightstand and runs from its own controls.
How it works
Light is the strongest lever the body uses to set its internal clock. Through the evening the lamp holds a warm, dim tone that does little to push the clock later, and in the morning it brightens gradually to imitate dawn, so waking starts before any sound plays. The speaker carries white noise, sleep stories, meditations and wind down routines, all set up once in the app.
Key considerations
Nothing about the sleeper is measured, and a large part of the audio library needs the Hatch Plus subscription.
