LumiMind is a neurotechnology company focused on sleep. Its LumiSleep headband is worn across the forehead at night and combines brain activity monitoring with personalised sound. The system is designed to support sleep onset and provide sleep information through an app.
How it works
Electroencephalography electrodes detect electrical signals created by brain activity. Software follows these brainwave patterns in real time and plays timed sound through the headband as the user falls asleep. It then continues monitoring through the night to estimate sleep stages and produce a report. The feedback changes according to the signals detected from the wearer.
Key considerations
LumiSleep is a new consumer product with limited independent evidence on the device. Fit, movement, hair and skin contact can affect signal quality, and sound must remain audible.
