Elemind is an American neurotechnology company focused on sleep. Its Elemind Sleep headband is worn across the forehead at bedtime and is designed to help users fall asleep faster. The system combines brain activity sensing, personalised sound and sleep reporting in a companion app.
How it works
Electroencephalography electrodes detect tiny electrical signals produced by brain activity. Software follows the timing of these brainwaves and plays low volume sound through built in speakers. The sounds change in response to the wearer’s current pattern, creating a closed feedback loop intended to guide the brain away from wakefulness. The app records sleep timing and overnight trends.
Key considerations
The headband is a wellness product and does not diagnose or treat a sleep disorder. Results can vary, and good sensor contact and audible sound are required. Independent evidence for the finished consumer product remains limited.
