WHAT THEY MAKE

Flowtime is a biosensing headband developed by Entertech for meditation and relaxation. It pairs with guided app sessions and gives users feedback about changes in brain and body signals. The product offers a measurable view of meditation practice.

How it works
Electroencephalography sensors on the forehead detect small electrical signals associated with brain activity. An optical sensor uses light to measure pulse changes, while software estimates heart rate variability and breathing. The app combines these signals into session reports and can play sound cues based on the user’s state and goal.

Key considerations
Consumer sensors cannot directly read thoughts or prove that someone has reached a particular mental state. Fit, facial movement and poor skin contact can introduce noise.
