Ink U Beta is a Swiss company behind sun a wear, an ultraviolet sensor. The device can be worn as a bracelet or clipped to clothing and connects to an app.
How it works
A light sensitive component measures ultraviolet radiation. The sensor adds exposure over time to estimate the accumulated dose. The app combines the dose with skin type and a limit, then displays progress and sends protection alerts. Unlike a weather forecast, the reading reflects light reaching the device at that moment.
Key considerations
Placement matters because sleeves, shade, body position and reflected light can make the sensor receive a different dose from exposed skin. Personal limits are estimates and do not account for every medicine, skin condition or sunscreen application. The device supports awareness but cannot measure vitamin D production or assess skin damage.
