Atmotech is an environmental sensing company that makes portable Atmotube air monitors and larger Atmocube systems for buildings. Atmotube PRO 2 is a pocket sized device that can be carried, clipped to a bag or placed nearby. It measures the surrounding air, not the body.

How it works

A small fan pulls air into the device, where a laser counts particles such as dust, smoke and soot. Other sensors respond to carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxides and the combined presence of volatile organic compounds. The device also measures temperature, humidity and pressure. Its app shows live readings, exposure history and location based maps.

Key considerations

Atmotube provides estimates and is not a medical or professional safety device. It cannot identify individual volatile compounds or detect every dangerous gas. Measuring particles and location more frequently also reduces battery life.
