Neurable is an American company that places brain sensing inside headphones. Its MW75 Neuro range combines premium audio and noise cancellation with electroencephalography. The app tracks focus, suggests breaks and provides daily wellness summaries.
How it works
Soft electrodes inside the ear cushions detect electrical signals produced by brain activity through the skin. Software filters the signals and estimates changes associated with concentration, calmness and mental fatigue. The headphones can provide real time feedback and learn the user’s patterns to identify focused periods and recommend a break before performance declines.
Key considerations
Electroencephalography cannot read thoughts, and scores such as focus or brain age are simplified interpretations of complex signals. Fit, movement, facial muscles, hair and electrical noise can affect readings. Independent evidence for the finished consumer product remains limited.
