Loox Health is a wearable technology company developing the Loox Pendant for ultraviolet and visible light tracking. The pendant is worn near the chest and is intended to help users understand sunlight exposure, protection habits and light timing.
How it works
Wide angle sensors measure ultraviolet radiation and visible light daily, including exposure near windows and some indoor sources. Software combines the readings with local conditions and details such as skin type and sensitivity. The app turns this information into guidance covering morning light, ultraviolet protection, hidden exposure, recovery and evening light.
Key considerations
Loox is a new consumer product, so independent evidence and performance data remain limited. Clothing, pendant position and shade can affect the sensor. Its guidance does not measure skin damage, replace sunscreen or diagnose a skin condition. Availability and final features may also change during launch.
