Connectome Health is a Swiss and British neurotechnology startup building tools to measure cognitive change over time. Its service combines short brain scans with cognitive tasks and data from wearables, behaviour and daily life. The main customers are health platforms, researchers and companies rather than individual device buyers.
How it works
During a scan, harmless infrared light passes through the scalp and measures changes in blood oxygen linked to activity in the outer brain. Software connects these patterns with performance on cognitive tasks and contextual data. Repeated sessions are intended to show whether attention, memory or other aspects of brain function are changing.
Key considerations
Connectome is a measurement platform, not a wearable used continuously at home. Access depends on partner clinics or research programmes, and the approach is still being validated.
