How it works

The sensor records core body temperature frequently during sleep. Temperature changes across the menstrual cycle because progesterone rises after ovulation. Software analyses the overnight pattern with cycle data to identify a fertile window and confirm when ovulation has occurred. The app displays temperature, history and fertility status.

Key considerations

The sensor must be inserted, removed, cleaned and synced regularly, which may not suit every user. Illness, medication and disrupted sleep can affect temperature, while predictions improve only after enough personal data is collected. OvuSense supports timing for conception and does not confirm pregnancy, diagnose infertility or identify every hormonal condition. Subscription and sensor replacement costs may apply.
