WHAT THEY MAKE

iGPSPORT is a Chinese cycling technology company that makes GPS bike computers, sports watches, heart rate monitors, speed and cadence sensors, lights and radar accessories. Its products bring navigation, training and safety information together for cyclists.

How it works
Bike computers use satellite signals to calculate speed, distance and routes. They can receive data wirelessly from separate sensors that measure speed, cadence, power or heart rate. Chest straps detect the electrical signal of each heartbeat, while optical armbands use light to measure pulse changes. The app stores rides, displays training data and supports route planning.

Key considerations
Available metrics depend on the computer and connected accessories, which may need separate purchase. Satellite accuracy can fall near tall buildings, trees or tunnels. Heart rate, calorie and training estimates are intended for sport and reference, and iGPSPORT states that its consumer monitors are not medical devices.
